WHENDIL ("we", "our", or "the app") is a simple elapsed-time tracker that helps you remember when you last did things. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used to identify your account and send magic link sign-in emails.
- Name and profile picture — only if you sign in with Google or Apple and those services share them. We do not require or display these.
When you use the app, we store:
- Tracker data — the names of your trackers, completion timestamps, reminder settings, categories, and priority flags you create.
- App preferences — theme, accent color, notification mode, and other settings stored on your device.
We also collect:
- Crash reports — if the app crashes, diagnostic data is sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. This does not include your tracker content. See "Crash Reporting and Approximate Location" below for the one piece of location data this involves.
- Feedback you send us — if you use Report a Bug or Suggest a Feature, we receive your message together with details of the app and device it came from. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send feedback. See "What We Send With Your Feedback" below for the complete list.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the app's core functionality (storing and syncing your trackers).
- To send local push notifications for reminders you configure.
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- To read and act on feedback you choose to send us.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your account and tracker data are stored on Supabase servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign In — optional sign-in method on iOS and web. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Sentry — crash reporting. Sentry derives an approximate location from crash reports — see the section below. See sentry.io/privacy.
Crash Reporting and Approximate Location
When the app sends a crash report, we instruct Sentry not to store your IP address, and it does not. Sentry's servers do, however, derive an approximate location from the network the report arrives over — city, region and country — and store that on the crash event.
This is coarse, and it is not GPS. It comes from the network connection, not from your device's location services, which this app never requests. We use it only to tell whether a fault is specific to one region or one build.
What We Send With Your Feedback
When you tap Report a Bug or Suggest a Feature, we send your message and the following, so that a report can be reproduced without asking you follow-up questions:
- Your message, and your account id if you are signed in.
- An anonymous device id — a random value created by the app and stored on your device, so several reports from the same phone can be connected. It is not your device's hardware identifier and it is not an advertising id.
- Which build you are running — app version, build number, release channel, update identifier and runtime version.
- Your device and system — platform, operating system name and version, and device model (for example "Pixel 8").
- Screen size, rounded into a broad bucket rather than exact dimensions.
- Your app language.
None of this is sent unless you send feedback. It is not used for advertising or analytics, and it is never sold.
